Gina, singersongwriter musician extraordinaire hosted a 4th of July cookout. We picked up some ice then Chico behind a mysterious leafy place he called the Ritz-Marshall. Someone came up the driveway, guitar in hand and began playing as soon as he set foot on the porch. Later, I was relieved to hear that he has his own band, his name is Brandon Taylor. Soon Bill Gundlach took the guitar out of his hands and also played beautifully. J.D was there, very lowkey and wearing some excellent saddle shoes. Also Robbie, Denton and Laura. Later on, Gina put on these shoes (shown) which matched her jumpsuit with flag type stars on blue background, and let the way to the Grove, where we heard Jimmy Phillips with his band, and after that the One, Four, Fives who had a fantastic fast rocking hard driving vibe. The lit hula hoops came out and it was The Fourth of July.
